Review | Nivea ~ In Shower Body Moisturiser (Normal Skin)

I’m always usually late to the ‘hypes’, I remember a couple of months ago back in May/June Nivea launched a brand new idea of moisturising in the shower, I thought it was brilliant!! So here is my review of what I actually thought…

I will start with the smell which I think is lovely, however it is very masculine so if you don’t like masculine smells stay clear. I bought the 250ml bottle thinking this would be enough and that the 400ml was way to big! As I have said I love the idea, but when it came down to it, I didn’t love the product, for me nothing will beat my Kiehls moisturiser. I just didn’t feel like my body was truly moisturised, and you had to use so much of the product to get any effect, so this little bottle didn’t last me a very long time at all, I would rather invest in a more expensive body lotion than having to keep re-buying this. I have to say if it came in a miniature travel sized bottle I would buy it and save room on packing if I was taking hand luggage only for example. The next thing I am intrigued to try which is of a similar idea is the Vaseline spray on moisturiser… watch this space.

Lots of Love Daisy xoxo

Oh thank you for reviewing this as I was thinking about it to save time in the morning before work… I shall just have to get up earlier… xxx

It might still be good for when you are in a rush, but I think I had high expectations of it being like my Kiehls or even coco butter stuff, it just isn’t THAT moisturising. xo

I don’t find it too moisturising either but I’ve been using it loads in the hot weather as I can’t face body moisturisers in the humidity! x

Thats a good point actually, I finished mine while I was away on holiday so didn’t really get a chance to use it during the sticky heatwave! xo

The idea is good but these quick fix products rarely work out. Thanks for the honest review – I have read nothing but good things about this but I have had a gut feeling that it wasn’t going to be worth the hype.

I completely agree, the idea is amazing which is why I tried it out, but it lasted me all of two weeks as you have to use SO much to get the same effect as moisturiser. xo

I saw the advert for this when I was in the UK and I thought it sounded so weird! I think I’ll just stick to normal moisturisers :)
