Review | Lush ~ Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask.

Last month my mummy kindly treated me to a few goodies from Lush, one of them was the Ocean Salt Face Scrub which you can read all about here ~ link and the other was the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask, sadly tonight was the last scoop of it :( so I thought I would share my thoughts on the product.

Firstly if I could somehow let you smell the product through my pictures I would as this smells amazing! It is a mixture of lime, ginger, lots of herbs like coriander and parsley, and of course honey! The Lush website describes the product as:

Been burning the candle both ends? A detox mask to put things right.

It’s hard to stick to all the rules. Eight hours sleep a night, two litres of water a day, plenty of exercise, five fruit and veg etc. This mask is for when you have overdone things and let the rules slide. A detox to get tired and dull skin back to being radiant and glowing.’

This is the perfect mask for students, especially during exam time!! It is a fresh face mask so you do have to keep it in the fridge, living in halls I thought, great one of my flatmates is going to come home drunk and peckish one night and try it, luckily for me this didn’t happen.

Available from the Lush website, for £5.95 ~ link
However, the downside of living in halls and trying to have a detox night with a face mask is the oh so sensitive fire alarms… last Saturday I was in my room watching The Voice, green tea in hand with my face mask on, firstly my mum calls, in the middle of trying to explain to her why she was on loudspeaker the fire alarm goes off in a huge panic I ran to the bathroom (luckily for me, en suite) quickly scrubbed my face and ran downstairs. I was so annoyed as the mask had only been on 5 minutes!! But never mind… as this mask is truly amazing it had done it’s job. It has almond oil in as well, so when I wash it off, my skin is very smooth and tight (if I had time to use this in the mornings I would, as it is a perfect base for primer) but also it genuinely brightens up your complexion.

I don’t think I would buy this product again anytime soon as I am away for the summer and can’t keep it in a fridge while travelling, but I will definitely be back in the Lush store at the start of second year no doubt to stock my fridge up with Lush goodies!! I particularly want to try the Fresh Face Mask ‘Cupcake’ anyone tried it??

Just because I didn’t make a moron of myself at the fire alarm, I thought I would on the internet! :)
Lots of Love Daisy xoxo

This sounds so lovely but I do not like the smell of honey :(
I have never tried a Lush mask so I might have to pop in and pick one up.

6/7 uses is reasonable for the price!

    Great post.
    Love the photos ;)
