A couple of weeks ago now, I visited my step mum and sister for a weekend by the sea… but of course typical British weather ruined that and I never went to the beach let alone see the murky grey sea which had merged with the equally grey sky. So I had a day of being lazy and baking Mary Berry’s delicious brownies and another of the days hunting for bargains in charity shops!
On my finally day just before my train we thought we would go for a girly afternoon tea session, we stumbled upon this gorgeous shop not far from the station called ‘SHOP’ ironically enough (Check them out on their Facebook page) It was filled with fashion, vintage, jewellery, ceramics and a tea room! It was perfect.
The tea room and cakes were in one part and they are done by the lovely Michala’s Cute Cakes, worth a look on their Facebook page to drool over the cakes, the hard part was actually choosing which one to eat!
|They all look SO delicious, we went with the Cookies and Cream one :)|
Here is a little snippet of our very sweet table…
They had a range of Cath Kidston crockery which was lovely and very dainty! I have often lusted after one of their tea cup and saucer sets. The tea room had such attention to detail it really felt like you were in a story book. As you can see in the last picture we totally demolished the cake it was delicious, and actually very light.
The rest of the shop was filled with beautiful furniture and home decor, it screamed out me! I can’t wait to have a place of my own and fill it with such beautiful things.
In particular in the centre of the collage these pink washing up brushes caught my eye! I think they would look fab at home, but I would never want to use them!! Too pretty. They had such a range of items, from mugs to tables and wicker baskets. This collage is just a few of my favourite items :) it was hard to narrow it down as I took SO many more pictures.
As well as having all of these things they ventured down clothing and had gorgeous Summer dresses, in a really classic cut. This is my favourite one I picked out :)
All in all I had a really lovely weekend and this absolutely topped it off. Nothing better than a cup of tea and cake.
Anyone living in St. Leonards on Sea, you would be crazy not to visit!
Lots of Love Daisy xoxo
