Food Review | Browns Restaurant ~ Newcastle.

Since being at uni I have forgotten what good quality food tastes like! So whenever my mum comes and visits me from the Scottish Borders she treats me :) today we went to Browns, an absolutely lovely restaurant. So I thought I’d share with all you bloggers what I ate.

Roasted Goat’s Cheese £6.95

As I’ve said before I am a sucker for cheese, especially goats cheese! It is so so yummy I can’t resist. This was topped off with pomegranate and golden beetroot. And luckily its not too heavy for a starter as the goats cheese is very light almost like a mousse.

A little thing to know about me is that whenever I look at a menu I always look at the desserts first, decide what I’m having and then base everything else on that! So my next course, was a beautiful pasta dish… I instantly regretted ordering this as I am pretty sick of pasta as you students know, but as soon as I had tasted the linguine I changed my mind. The crab and prawns were so succulent it was delicious!! Would highly recommend to seafood lovers.

Sticky Toffee Pudding £5.95

Last but not least DESSERT!! My all time favourite sticky toffee pudding :) Sometimes it can be hit and miss but this was amazing, topped off with clotted cream yum yum yum. At this point I was so so full and nearly falling asleep, my mum too as she had bread and butter pudding.

All in all it was a lovely lunch with my mum, giving us the chance to have a catch up and discuss the soaps! Which we are both addicted to! I urge you to visit your local Browns!! Have a sneak peek at their events, menus and where the nearest one is to you! http://www.browns-restaurants.co.uk/home/

Lots of love Daisy xoxo

It probably tasted better because I picked up the tab!
However it has to be said browns was an unexpected pleasure and the chef should be knighted for his services to scallops … so many tend to overcook this delicious mollusk.
