Fashion | The Great Gatsby.

Baz Luhrmann has just recently directed and produced The Great Gatsby, featuring Leonardo Dicaprio (swoon) as a director I absolutely admire him, he is just brilliant. I have to admit I haven’t yet read the book, but I plan to read it when I go off to France on Wednesday, so naturally I don’t want to see the film until I have read it. But anyone can see how this film has influenced the fashion world over the last few months. The 1920s fashion is so glamourous, chic and fun! The other week I was in Primark picking up so last minute holiday essentials when I came across this gorgeous bracelet, and it was only £3!!

Yesterday was a gorgeous sunny day up here in the Scottish Borders, and I was out doing bloggy things in the garden, so you will notice my next few posts are either in a tree or on the grass. I put this bracelet on a branch and it just looked divine!! I haven’t yet worn it, but I just love looking at it, the way the stones catch the light is beautiful.
Here is a little Gatsby inspiration from Topshop…

I think my bracelet would go perfectly :)
Have any of you embraced the 1920s?

I am exactly the same; I can’t watch a movie without reading the book first. There are some many levels to the book that a movie cannot portray.

That Topshop dress is gorgeous. You have really captured the Great Gatsby essence there.

I know, I have found this with so many books and films!! I have recently heard some quite negative reviews about the film!!

Thank you very much :) it is gorgeous, now I just need a 1920s fancy dress to go to.
