Fashion | Outfit Of The Day ~ Brooklyn, Williamsburg.

Brooklyn is another place I had never really discovered until this trip, I was pretty excited to see just how different it is from Manhattan. Earlier in the year Company I think it was did a little guide on Brooklyn which got me pretty excited, unfortunately I seem to have misplaced it! However it did mention the ‘Williamsburg Flea’ we left the visit too late on in our trip as it is only open on a weekend, so if yo are visiting NYC soon check their website out and go on down for a visit ~ link. If you don’t stumble upon anything the view from where the market is will blow you away…

The day we chose to go to Brooklyn was such a crazy hot day that we only ended up spending like half a day there, but we could have easily stayed longer just exploring! I feel that Brooklyn has a very similar feeling to SoHo, but even more laid back, so when I was choosing what to wear I went for a style I might not usually be seen wearing in Manhattan, but I’d probably wear this in Newcastle (if that makes any sense!?) Brooklyn is covered in graffiti everywhere but it isn’t ugly graffiti that you might see at train stations etc they are beautiful paintings often advertising a brand, such a clever way to advertise.

Something that is in Brooklyn all year round is a great vintage shop called ‘Beacons Closet’ ~ link this is definitely one of the coolest vintage shops I have been into, it has given Camden a run for it’s money and quirky shops in Soho (London) everything is arranged by colour, which I think is the way forward! Made things so so much easier, you need to have patience when it comes to this shop though as it may take a while to find a gem, I came across a few pieces by Marc by Marc Jacobs for less than $40 (£26)

So don’t forget about Brooklyn it is a gem hidden away outside of Manhattan! Enjoy!
Lots of Love Daisy xoxo
