Event | Simple Skin Care Launch.

Last night I attended another blogger event, and the novelty of being a beauty blogger still hasn’t worn off! Most of the year I am up in Newcastle studying so when I get the chance to attend an event in London I still get pretty nervous. The event was for the brand ‘Simple’ ~ link I can honestly say before the event my view of this brand was like Nivea, Garnier etc another brand on the shelves at boots in the cheap section, that I would purchase when on offer. However, after speaking to some of the people who work at Simple and actually see first hand what their skin looks like after using the products for over 10 years, I am a total convert! The event was being held as they are launching some new products to their sensitive skin care brand…
Top left in the picture is their new ‘Illuminating’ serum which is the product I am most excited about!! You put it on like a primer, and it instantly gives you a glowing radiance, if that is a bit too much you can use it to highlight the top of your cheeks.
This is one of the nicest most relaxed events I have ever been to, it started at 5 and people could just filter through whenever they could fit it into their schedules, but the best thing of the evening was the fruity mocktails, they had four particular flavours and they were all kind and loving for the skin. They had clearly been thought about and it was a lovely added touch.

At the event Caroline Frazer ‘Simple Skincare Expert & Celebrity Make Up Artist’ and Anna Reich ‘Simple Fitness Expert’ were sat at different corners for us to talk to, I had a lovely talk to Anna right at the beginning about fitness and health, she was absolutely great. She was also telling me about her role in the ‘Simple’ brand she is one of four people (see below) that help create products to cover each aspect of our lives, as everything is essentially linked back to your skin.
Just before I left I spoke to Caroline about how she started at the company about 10 years ago, and her life as a make up artist. I find it so interesting to talk to people who are actually within the company and beauty world and how they got to where they are today. I have been blogging for about 7 months now and people have told me about ‘fan girl’ moments and I sort of just took it in thinking it isn’t really on the same level as bumping into an A list celeb, but I take it all back. I met Zoe from The London Lipgloss ~ link and I was actually nervous but once I started talking to her she was so nice, and I look forward to meeting her again. I also met Charlotte from Chyaz.com ~ link who actually works at Simple, and has been for about 3 years, she has also been vlogging since 2006! Definitely check her out if you haven’t before.

What I have decided to do, is what until I am back at university in September to start using the products and use them all together as a complete skin care routine, I think this way I will get the best results and opinions of the product.
The new products are available from Superdrug right now.
Lots of Love Daisy xoxo

I used to love Simple when I was in college but I stopped using it because I just assumed it was for teenage skin. I might have to have another dabble in it. I am loving the new packaging and designs of the products.
