Finally the summer holidays for me have begun, I am in France after having a bit of a mare with Ryan Air over the recent French air strikes, but alas I am here! So I am going to share with you my most recent empties… ok ok they aren’t that recent, I actually packed these in my suitcase from uni to home just for you guys! My mum thought I was crazy when she saw a bag full of empty products!!
Batiste ~ Dry Shampoo Original available from Boots for £2.99 (200ml) ~ link
I call this product one of my holy grails, as I can pop it in my bag whenever I need it! The original is my favourite as the smell is so fresh and clean, I have re bought this product time and time again. It is perfect for when you just don’t have time to do anything with your hair, or if you are running late to a 9am lecture looking and feeling rubbish… I wrote an article about this product for my university newspaper The Courier, for more information check the article out! ~ link.
Nivea ~ Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream available from Boots for £3.99 (50ml) ~ link
This is another product that I have bought a few times, although this time I am going to try something new. I love how light this moisturiser is and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy, although it is a day cream I used to use it at night after removing my make up. I used this a lot during the winter when I went away skiing, as the cold really dries my skin out, and this was the perfect solution for the fresh alpine air. I did write a blog post fully reviewing this product back in February ~ link.
Smashbox ~ Photo Finish Foundation Primer available from Boots for £12.50 (12ml) or £25.00 (30ml) ~ link
This little tester has been sat at the bottom of my empties bag for a very long time!! But anyway, this was my first ever experience with a primer and it was amazing, I was so shocked I had never used a primer before! Naturally I wanted to try more primers after this so I haven’t re bought it … yet although I am starting to think it is one of the best primers on the UK market. Other ones I have used just don’t come close to how good this one is. For a more detailed review read my post ~ link.
Nuxe ~ Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Usage Dry Oil Golden Shimmer available from the Nuxe website for £21.00 (50ml) or £34.00 (100ml) ~ link
I received this tiny little sample a few years ago from a Space NK event, I somehow managed to leave with three of four goodie bags and had quite a few of these. Luckily for me :) This product is amazing, although I never used it in my hair I would have liked too. Anybody tried it in their hair? Personally I wouldn’t pay the hefty price tag when there are other similar products for almost half the price! Like this ‘Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil’ available from The Body Shop for £16.00 ~ link.
But it is a great product, I used it a few times on my legs and arms when I was going out to a party, or a special occasion. It gave me a natural looking tan without even using a tanning product. I really want to try this product from The Body Shop.
Balance Me ~ Extra Care Wonder Eye Cream available from the Balance Me website for £15.00 (10ml) or £20.00 (15ml) ~ link
This product is one of my favourites and one that I am sad to see finished. I used to keep this eye cream in the fridge, and apply it first thing in the morning to brighten my eyes up and help wake them up and late at night if I was being kept up doing an essay or watching tv :) When the product dried it didn’t feel tight on the skin, which I think is really important around the eye area. It dried seamlessly into the skin and didn’t interfere with my primer. I probably won’t re buy this product as I am keen to try other eye products, especially the ‘GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff’ by Origins, available from Boots for £21.00 (15ml) ~ link.
I don’t massively suffer from puffy eyes, but I do suffer from dark circles and a little bit of puffiness occasionally so this is definitely on my wish list as well as a few other things from the GinZing range…
Nip and Fab ~ Mango Smoothie Dry Skin Fix Body Butter available from Boots for £8.49 (200ml) ~ link
This sample came from my April Glossybox, I was quite disappointed with it to be honest, as the cream was far too thick for my liking and didn’t go on smoothly after showering. It dried really greasily, I reviewed this Glossybox over on You Tube, take a look to hear more of my thoughts! ~ link. To be honest I personally think that the best body butters are from The Body Shop! This is the kind of quality I was expecting.
I hope you enjoyed my second empties post! Enjoy your day bbloggers. Lots of Love Daisy xoxo
