I can’t believe I have been blogging for four months and this is my first ’empties’ post, kind of obligatory for a beauty blogger. I have had a huge bag stored away under my desk for a few months now filled with empty bottles, I am moving out of halls in a about a weeks time and thought it would be ridiculous packing empty bottles to take home with me… I prefer empties posts with a theme, so my theme today is ‘hair’. Enjoy!
Avon ~ Planet Spa African Shea Butter Restoring Hair Mask.
Unfortunately for some reason this product is no longer available on Avon but it is available over on Amazon ~ link for £5.99. I first discovered this product after using another product by Planet Spa, I thought I would pick the hair mask up as my hair is quite dry from so much heat damage. I used it about twice a week, and it worked wonders!! The smell is quite subtle as well, but the product is so thick it feels really nourishing. It made my hair really glossy but I don’t feel like it fixed any of my dry hair problems. Recently I have discovered Macadamia Hair Products, and quite frankly this does not live up to their standards! So I would rate this product a 2/5.
Kerastase ~ Colour Radiance Protecting Shampoo.
This is available over at Look Fantastic for £14.03 ~ link My grandma bought me this for Christmas along with the conditioner. At the time I did a full review of both products which you can read here ~ link in fact that was my second blog post ever! (awwww) I had never used a Kerastase product before, but I had heard really good things about them so was pretty excited to try it out, and I was so impressed! It has actually started a new obsession with taking really good care of my hair and splashing out a little bit more on hair products. The smell is really nice and fragranced, which stays on your hair in between washes, nothing better than great smelling hair ;) not only that put it made my hair really soft, glossy and controllable as I have curly hair that can often go frizzy if i’m not careful. I would rate this product a 4/5. I would definitely repurchase shampoo and conditioner from Kerastase maybe not this one as I want to try more of their products :)
Redken ~ Extreme Shampoo & Extreme Conditioner.
These products are also available from Look Fantastic for £20.00 ~ link just after my Kerastase ran out I ordered these products, and it was around February/March and absolutely freezing in Newcastle. I don’t know about you guys but my hair tends to get really frizzy and weak during the winter, when it is constantly going from the heat of my room to the cold outside. After doing some research I found these were the best products on the market for exactly that problem. And I can agree, they really are, and I will be repurchasing them for next winter. It managed to keep my hair feeling soft and frizz free, but also it definitely added moisture to my hair which is just what it needed!! These products don’t have the same fragrance smell like Kerastase but it is still a lovely smell. I liked that Redken are still a high end brand but cheaper than Kerastase which is why I have chosen to order from Redken again, but luckily for me ‘super-nan’ has bought me some more Kerastase goodies :)
Lots of Love Daisy xoxo
