Pixi is a brand I have been familiar with from my days living in Soho, I remember being so overwhelmed by all the gorgeous make up in their store just off of Carnaby Street. I am yet to try the Pixi Glow Tonic, which I know is a blogger favourite.
I picked up this palette for £5 during the summer when they were having a sale. I was visiting London in-between flying back from France and flying out again just a few days later. I say I ‘needed‘ this but really I didn’t, I couldn’t resist the £5 price tag. Pixi have provided such good quality in the past so this was an absolute bargain, they also had the ‘Casual Cool’ Seasonal Reflection Kit, but I preferred this one.
It also happens to be a pretty handy kit to have when I go away for the weekend, for example I am going up to my mums in the Scottish Borders tonight for a couple of a nights, so instead of packing several palettes and single eyeshadows, I am packing this. It also has a blusher in the centre which is another bonus, it means I don’t have to pack extra items (it can also double up as a eyeshadow).
Paired with your trusty eye primer these eyeshadows can last all day, or all night long! The formula is pigmented and creamy, and there is little fall out when you are applying it to your eyes. Which is brill, because I hate getting eyeshadow on top of my concealer and trying to blend it out makes you look like you’ve been punched.
So I’ve had this palette for quite a while, but I thought I would blog about it today because I’ve decided to pack it for the next few days and wear it for work this afternoon. SO you can see what a few of the shades look like on…
