Happy New Year! I know, I know – forgive me? I can’t believe it is nearly February, a whole month into 2016 and I haven’t even blogged yet. Life just got in the way, you know – it happens! But can we all just appreciate my gorgeous new blog design, thanks to the amazing people over at PipDig! Anyway rest assured yesterday I spent some free time and the first bit of good sunlight we’ve had in a while, taking a bulk of photos for the next month – hurrah! However, there is a bit of a theme… skincare. First up something very organic with the royal seal of approval.
I started using rosehip oil waaaaay before Kate Middleton – Princess Kate to you and I – got on the bandwagon. It was sometime in 3rd year and I was becoming very stressed over the fact university was coming to an end, I hadn’t started my dissertation and the winds in Newcastle were just completely battering my face – that and I hadn’t actually seen sunlight in a very long time. I am now onto my 3rd bottle of this stuff and I couldn’t agree more with the press and Princess Kate, this stuff is amazing for your skin. The formula is packed full of Vitamin A, E, Omega 9, 3 and 6 – all essential fatty acids and skin loving ingredients, plus it is completely certified organic and natural.
After about a year of using it, I have perfected this glorious oil into my skincare routine. At first I was using it morning and night, but found that when I applied my make up after the oil it just wasn’t working for me, I like to really work my foundation into my face and they just didn’t seem to sit well together. So now what I do is use this every single night, after I’ve cleansed my face, I pop about 3-4 drops of this on and pat it onto my skin and let it soak in for about 5 minutes – brush my teeth and then put my night time moisturiser on. I wake up with really well hydrated skin that has a little radiance to it, which is essential in the dark gloomy months.
This has now become part of my long skincare routine, not only that my inflight routine as well. The bottle contains 23ml – ideal for travelling – I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but for me, who uses it once a day it lasts about 3 months. This little bottle of goodness is currently on sale for £15.30 over on FeelUnique.
Does anybody else include an organic oil in their routine? I would love to know as I am always on the look out to try new things :)
